Job Description
Automation Risk
This role contains a mix of routine administrative tasks (claims processing, data entry) that are highly automatable, and augmented tasks (reporting, compliance checks) where AI tools can assist. However, key responsibilities such as process improvement, stakeholder liaison, and staff mentoring require human judgment and interpersonal skills, reducing full automation risk but exposing many tasks to AI augmentation.
Task analysis
- Process and verify insurance claims documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with customers and advisers to resolve queries and provide updates on claim status.
- Maintain and update claims records in internal databases and systems.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on claims activity and outstanding cases to management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the claims process.
- Identify process improvement opportunities within the claims administration workflow.
- Train and mentor junior administrative staff in claims procedures and best practices.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, such as insurers and regulatory bodies, for escalated or complex claims.
