Job Description
Automation Risk
This role contains a high proportion of routine and codifiable tasks such as transaction entry, reconciliation, and payroll processing, which are increasingly automated by accounting software and RPA. However, some tasks—such as liaising with management and external accountants—still require human judgment and communication. Overall, the role is highly exposed to automation and AI augmentation, especially for bookkeeping and compliance functions.
Task analysis
- Record and classify all business transactions in QuickBooks.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts monthly.
- Process payroll for staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and submit VAT and other statutory returns.
- Check and verify the accuracy of invoices, receipts, and financial documents.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records.
- Respond to management queries regarding accounts and financial status.
- Liaise with external accountants or auditors as required.
