Many core tasks, such as batching, sample preparation, and record-keeping, are routine and increasingly supported by automation and digital tools. However, physical sampling, cube crushing oversight, customer interaction, and HGV driving require human presence and judgment, limiting full automation. AI can augment reporting and compliance but cannot fully substitute for field and interpersonal duties.
