Job Description
Automation Risk
This role combines routine tasks (such as payment processing and reconciliations) that are highly automatable with accounting software, with augmented tasks where AI tools can assist but not fully replace human oversight (e.g., investigations, compliance checks). However, significant human elements remain in client relationship management and complex problem-solving, moderating the overall automation risk. The exposure to AI augmentation is high due to the heavy use of digital tools and process automation in finance operations.
Task analysis
- Act as the main point of contact for principal clients, managing day-to-day financial queries and ensuring timely resolution.
- Process supplier payments, client disbursements, and internal transfers using online banking platforms.
- Prepare and process payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK and IOM regulations.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations and monitor bank balances.
- Investigate and resolve unreconciled items and account discrepancies, liaising with banks, clients, and internal teams.
- Maintain clear audit trails and supporting documentation for all financial transactions.
- Assist with periodic internal reviews and compliance checks, including VAT and tax compliance.
- Coordinate with internal accounting staff to deliver accurate and efficient service to clients.
- Build and maintain professional and trusted client relationships.
