Job Description

Search & Select is a long-established recruitment consultancy. Since 1998, we've partnered with leading local and international organisations to deliver high-quality recruitment solutions across professional and specialist markets. While our approach continues to evolve through ongoing investment in technology, data and modern recruitment tools, we remain, at heart, a people business - built on relationships, judgement and long-term thinking. We combine intelligent tech with genuine human insight to deliver recruitment that is thoughtful, effective and built to last. The Role We're looking for an Executive Recruiter to operate at the sharp end of recruitment - combining traditional 360 recruitment with a modern talent acquisition mindset. This is a senior, hands-on role. You'll manage high-value assignments, build long-term client partnerships, and run intelligent search processes rather than rely on “post and pray”. If you've led or mentored others, great - but this is not a pure people-management role. While some sourcing, data analysis, and administrative tasks can be meaningfully augmented by AI tools, the core of executive recruitment relies on human judgment, negotiation, and relationship-building. The role is exposed to AI for research, mapping, and process automation, but critical tasks such as interviewing, client advisory, and trust-based interactions remain resistant to full automation.

Task analysis

  • Deliver end-to-end executive recruitment, including search, assessment, and placement for senior roles.
  • Conduct structured, research-led candidate search and market mapping.
  • Interview, assess, and shortlist candidates to a high professional standard.
  • Advise clients on hiring strategy, talent availability, remuneration, and market trends.
  • Manage offer processes, negotiations, and post-placement care.
  • Build and maintain long-term talent pipelines for critical skill areas.
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusted client relationships in a reputation-driven market.
  • Mentor or support junior consultants (if required).
  • Use data, insight, and market intelligence to inform recruitment decisions.
