Job Description

This role is a limited term appointment for 10 months. About the role Are you a registered Pharmacy Technician looking for a new and challenging opportunity? Join Manx Care’s Medicines Optimisation Team and play a key role in improving the safe and effective use of medicines across the Isle of Man. In this dynamic role, you will provide expert pharmacy support to patients, clinical staff, GP Surgeries, Care Home teams, and specialist services including mental health and learning disability. You will work closely with pharmacists to prepare for and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings for patients in Care Homes and those supported by the Frailty Service. The role also involves supporting large-scale improvement projects, such as developing policy documents, contributing to Patient Group Directions, and assisting in the production of the Manx Care Formulary. You will undertake medicine-related audits to improve prescribing quality, analyse trends, and support cost-saving initiatives. In addition, you will respond to queries within the Medicines Optimisation Team, providing timely and accurate guidance across the organisation.
