Job Description
Automation Risk
This role has a high proportion of routine and structured tasks (e.g., invoice entry, billing, reconciliations) that are increasingly automatable via accounting platforms and RPA. However, tasks involving judgment, exception handling, and team support still require human oversight. GenAI and automation tools can augment most work, but complete automation is limited by the need for contextual understanding and interpersonal coordination.
Task analysis
- Maintain financial records across multiple entities using accounting software.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and expense management.
- Perform bank reconciliations, payment processing, journals, and intercompany transactions.
- Assist with month-end close, management reporting, and audit preparation.
- Timely input of invoices to the invoice approval system.
- Check invoices against supporting analysis, contracts, and expenses.
- Prepare monthly client billing statements.
- Provide cover for colleagues in the accounting and admin team during absences.
- Communicate with team members to resolve discrepancies and support workflow.
