Job Description
Automation Risk
While some administrative and diagnostic support tasks can be augmented or partially automated with AI and dental software, the core clinical procedures and patient interactions require advanced manual skills, empathy, and real-time judgment. As a result, overall automation risk is low, but exposure to AI augmentation is moderate due to the increasing use of digital tools in dental practices.
Task analysis
- Conduct oral health assessments and diagnose dental conditions within scope of practice.
- Perform preventive and restorative dental procedures (e.g., fillings, scaling, polishing, fluoride applications).
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care tailored to individual needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using digital practice management systems.
- Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and support staff to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and adhere to health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures.
- Prepare and submit clinical reports and referrals as needed.
