While some routine tasks such as record-keeping and prescription writing can be automated or heavily augmented by AI and dental software, the core of the Associate Dentist role involves complex, hands-on clinical procedures and patient interaction that require empathy, dexterity, and real-time judgment. AI tools can assist with diagnostics and patient education, but the majority of tasks resist full automation due to their human-centric and physical nature.
