Job Description
Automation Risk
Many core tasks, such as bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and payroll, are increasingly supported or automated by accounting software and AI tools, raising both automation and AI exposure scores. However, significant elements require human judgment, direct client interaction, and regulatory interpretation, which limit full automation in the near term.
Task analysis
- Manage client bookkeeping and prepare extended trial balances.
- Produce management accounts, VAT returns, payroll, and financial statements.
- Prepare IOM and UK tax returns for individuals and companies.
- Liaise with clients and auditors, ensuring deadlines and expectations are met.
- Perform treasury functions and online payments where required.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 27001 Information Security standards.
- Support cross-selling opportunities and participate in CPD.
- Review and interpret new accounting standards and advise the team.
