Job Description
Automation Risk
This role is highly exposed to automation due to the repetitive and routine nature of most cleaning tasks, which are increasingly addressed by cleaning robots and smart building technologies. However, tasks requiring human judgment, discretion, and interaction with clients remain resistant to full automation. AI tools can augment reporting, scheduling, and supply management, but physical presence and adaptability are still needed.
Task analysis
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces according to cleaning schedules.
- Sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Replenish cleaning supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Follow cleaning schedules and checklists provided by management.
- Report maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and according to instructions.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working in client premises.
