This role is dominated by tasks requiring physical presence, empathy, and real-time judgment, which are difficult to automate. While some documentation and housekeeping elements can be augmented or replaced by technology, the core care and emotional support functions remain highly human-centric. AI tools can assist with record-keeping and compliance, but direct care and interpersonal support are resistant to automation.
