Job Description
Automation Risk
This role combines routine tasks (e.g., report generation, procurement workflows) that are highly automatable with several augmented tasks where AI tools can assist but not fully replace human oversight. Critical human elements remain in stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and strategic decision-making, which resist full automation. Overall, the role is moderately exposed to automation, but highly exposed to AI augmentation, especially in reporting, analytics, and process management.
Task analysis
- Maintain and refine project governance frameworks, standards, and methodologies to ensure quality and consistency.
- Oversee day-to-day PMO activities and support project managers throughout the project lifecycle, including stage-gate reviews and change control.
- Coordinate and quality assure reporting for Capital Review Board meetings and support Annual Capital Allocation processes.
- Maintain portfolio dashboards, monitor timelines, resource demand, interdependencies, and highlight risks or variances to senior stakeholders.
- Provide oversight across Tier 1–3 projects to ensure successful outcomes and adherence to governance.
- Support procurement strategy by analysing spend, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and leading supplier negotiations.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including RFI/RFQ/RFP and contract award.
- Contribute to strategic supplier reviews and contract management.
- Identify and address conflicts within project/programme and procurement teams.
