Job Description

Our client is seeking an HR Assistant to provide high-quality, accurate HR administration across the full employee lifecycle, supporting the HR Advisor and Senior HR Manager. Key duties include managing recruitment administration such as coordinating interviews, responding to candidate queries, maintaining records, supporting student and careers initiatives, and arranging travel for employees within the South Atlantic region. The role also covers offer and onboarding administration, including drafting contracts, completing pre-employment checks, coordinating inductions, managing work permits and visas, and processing probation outcomes.The HR Assistant will handle employee lifecycle tasks such as processing starters, leavers and contractual changes, maintaining HR systems, tracking contract renewals, administering benefits and healthcare updates, and raising purchase orders. Absence management, including recording leave and preparing reports, is also required. Additional responsibilities include supporting training, engagement initiatives and academy recruitment logistics, maintaining GDPR-compliant records, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with data protection, health and safety, and regulatory requirements. Key Skills and Experience: CIPD Level 3 qualified (or working towards), Previous HR administration experience within a fast-paced commercial environment, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities, Self-motivated and able to work, independently and collaboratively, Strong attention to detail, Confident IT and HR systems user, High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
