Job Description
Automation Risk
This role features a mix of routine (record-keeping), augmented (monitoring, investigations, report drafting), and human-centric (advising, liaising, training) tasks. While many compliance processes can be supported by AI and automation, the need for contextual judgment, regulatory interpretation, and interpersonal communication keeps full automation risk moderate. However, exposure to AI augmentation is high due to the prevalence of document, data, and workflow tools in compliance.
Task analysis
- Review and evaluate company policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with AML and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct investigations into suspicious activities and prepare reports for submission to regulatory authorities.
- Advise management and staff on compliance obligations and regulatory changes.
- Monitor ongoing business activities and client transactions for potential compliance risks.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including investigations, risk assessments, and training.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies during audits, inspections, or when responding to information requests.
- Deliver compliance training to staff and ensure understanding of relevant policies.
- Keep up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting the business.
