Many core tasks, such as maintaining registers and circulating compliance confirmations, are routine and highly automatable with RPA and workflow tools. However, risk assessments, due diligence, and ad hoc compliance projects require human judgment and domain expertise, making full automation unlikely. GenAI and AI-powered compliance tools can augment most tasks, exposing the role to significant AI assistance but not complete substitution.
