While some routine kitchen tasks (e.g., inventory management, basic food prep) can be automated or augmented with modern kitchen technology and AI, the role's core responsibilities—such as team supervision, menu development, and real-time kitchen coordination—require creativity, leadership, and hands-on expertise. As a result, automation risk is moderate, and AI exposure is significant but not dominant.

Task analysis

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to restaurant standards.
  • Oversee and train Commis Chefs to ensure consistent food preparation and presentation.
