Job Description
Automation Risk
This role involves a mix of routine (report generation), augmented (policy development, SAR submission, due diligence), and human-centric (regulatory liaison, controlled function duties) tasks. While AI and automation can streamline reporting, monitoring, and initial document drafting, core responsibilities require regulatory approval, judgment, and relationship management, limiting full automation but exposing many tasks to AI augmentation.
Task analysis
- Act as (or demonstrate readiness to act as) an Approved Person for the R16 DMLRO Controlled Function, making decisions on disclosures and liaising with financial crime agencies.
- Lead the submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and oversee responses to law enforcement orders.
- Maintain and enhance the Group's financial crime risk management framework across multiple jurisdictions.
- Interpret legislation and regulatory changes, ensuring timely implementation of AML/CFT, sanctions, and fraud obligations.
- Develop and embed AML/CFT policies, procedures, and risk-based monitoring appropriate to the Group’s scale and complexity.
- Provide subject matter expertise for regulatory consultations, Compliance Assurance Reviews, and strategic projects.
- Support due diligence for business integrations and major initiatives.
- Produce internal AML/CFT reporting and contribute to the annual Group AML/CFT Board Report.
- Build strong working relationships with regulators, law enforcement, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
