Job Description
Automation Risk
This role is highly dependent on human interaction, empathy, and physical presence, especially when assisting vulnerable passengers. While some routine documentation and coordination tasks can be augmented or automated with digital tools, the core responsibilities resist automation due to their social and physical nature. AI exposure is moderate, mainly supporting administrative and communication aspects.
Task analysis
- Assist passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) and hidden disabilities throughout their airport journey, ensuring safe and dignified movement.
- Provide clear, compassionate communication and reassurance to passengers and their companions.
- Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting or transferring passengers safely.
- Monitor and respond to passengers’ needs, adapting support as situations change.
- Coordinate with airline, security, and terminal staff to facilitate seamless passenger experiences.
- Complete required documentation and incident reports related to passenger assistance.
- Adhere to and enforce health, safety, and security protocols within the terminal environment.
- Maintain awareness of emergency procedures and respond appropriately in case of incidents.
