Job Description
Automation Risk
This role is highly exposed to automation due to the prevalence of routine, rule-based administrative tasks such as data entry, scheduling, and document management, which can be handled by RPA and AI tools. However, some tasks still require human oversight, judgment, and interpersonal communication, resulting in a high but not total automation risk and a high AI occupational exposure score.
Task analysis
- Operate office machines and use the RiO patient administration system to process and update patient records.
- Answer telephones, direct calls, and take messages for the service area.
- Communicate with team members and service users to answer questions and explain processes or policies.
- Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, both manually and electronically.
- Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities and business transactions.
- Review files and records to obtain information and respond to requests from staff or service users.
- Prepare and proofread correspondence and reports using Microsoft Office applications.
- Coordinate appointments and manage calendars for the team.
- Provide general administrative support and ensure adherence to office policies and procedures.
