While some routine tasks such as inventory monitoring and cleaning are increasingly automated, the core of the chef role—food preparation, presentation, and team coordination—remains reliant on human skills and judgment. AI and digital tools can augment recipe management and compliance, but creativity, adaptability, and real-time communication are not fully automatable. Overall, this role faces moderate automation and AI exposure, especially in support tasks.
