This role involves a high proportion of routine manual tasks, such as deburring and record-keeping, which are increasingly automatable with robotics and RPA. However, tasks requiring situational awareness, teamwork, and adherence to safety procedures remain less susceptible to automation. AI tools can augment inspection and process adherence, but full automation is limited by the need for manual dexterity and real-time decision-making.
